Youth Focus is a leading mental health provider that has been supporting the mental wellbeing of young people in the Western Australian community since 1994.
Youth Focus exists because almost every week one child, sibling, relative or friend under the age of 25 dies by suicide. The ripple effect of suicide and feelings of loss, sadness, and loneliness are felt deeply by individuals, families and entire communities.
The organisation’s vision is a world where a young person’s mental health does not get in the way of them being who they want to be.
Youth Focus delivers safe and accessible professional counselling services to thousands of young people and their families each year. In addition to its core service, Youth Focus engages with communities to educate and build awareness about youth mental health issues and suicide prevention.
As part of this engagement, the organisation delivers group-based therapy, mentoring, vocational support and education programs in schools, workplaces and communities.
