Support Crew

Your participation in the Ride will provide you with an unbelievable personal experience and, more importantly, raise much needed funds and awareness for Youth Focus and the life-saving work that it does in the community.

Established in 1994, Youth Focus is a Western Australian not-for-profit organisation that provides free, professional services to young people 12-25 years old who are showing signs associated with suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm. Youth Focus operates within the Perth metropolitan area and from regional areas including Rockingham, Bunbury, Albany and Geraldton. The opening of these regional offices was made possible partly by funds raised by the riders of the Hawaiian Ride for Youth.

The purpose of the Hawaiian Ride for Youth is:

  • To remove stigma surrounding youth mental health
  • To raise essential funds to enable Youth Focus to build a more resilient community
  • To have fun

The vision of the Hawaiian Ride for Youth is to continue to make a difference to youth mental health and our community by remaining relevant. The Ride values safety, respect, camaraderie, courage and passion.

The Support Crew are an integral part of the Ride and are responsible for getting the riders safely from point to point, providing food and water during rest stops and attending to breakdowns and mechanical problems. Education will be provided should it be required for some specific roles. This is a long week of hard work and it is incredibly rewarding to be part of such a special event that provides positive and lasting outcomes in the community.
