I grew up in Esperance on the South coast of WA and enjoyed the relaxed country lifestyle. After completing high school I moved to Perth for University and work, eventually getting married there some years later, and eventually taking up mixed farming in Moora for 23 years.
I have two children who have completed school, and have returned to University myself to study Exercise Physiology.
I have always been physically active, and enjoy the comradery of the group, or happy to go solo. Sporting interests for me have involved netball, hockey, sailing, cycling, polocrosse and triathlon.
During my time on the farm in Moora, I had the opportunity to take up an important role for the Shire of Moora in conjunction with DCP.
This was to organise and facilitate holiday activities and life skills for "at-risk youth". These were activities like First Aid, cooking, art, music, dance, and sport to name a few.
