At the turn of the century, Simple Plan spoke the truths of millions of millennial youths around the world through their hit "I'm Just a Kid". Essentially, growing up isn't easy and everyone needs help. For these kids, and generations that will follow them, Youth Focus is here to help. The Youth Focus mission is to equip young people who experience mental health challenges to lead meaningful lives, and they've been delivering their mission in WA for over 27 years.
Youth Focus delivers essential frontline services and education programs which aim to reduce symptoms associated with suicide, depression, anxiety and self-harm, and build long-term mental wellbeing to help young people reach their full potential. Last year alone they supported and educated over 12,000 young people through their programs and Headspace centres. They make young people feel welcomed, accepted and like they're in a safe space where they belong. As the father of two young daughters, I want to make a meaningful contribution to Youth Focus to help provide security for them to serve the youth of WA for generations to come - enter Ride for Youth.
Ride for Youth makes a meaningful difference to the lives of young people in WA. Since its inception in 2003, R4Y has raised over $26 million for Youth Focus. This is why in March I'll be pedalling my bike from Albany to Perth and will need all the help I can get, so please dig deep and know that your sponsorship will go directly towards making a difference.
