Mr Van Der Wielen currently holds the role of Chair, Crown Perth and is a Non-Executive Director on the Blackstone owned Crown Resorts Australia Ltd. Mr Van Der Wielen is also Chair of Orthocell (OCC) and serves on the Board of the Royal Flying Doctor Service (RFDS), and as a Senior Advisor for Appian Capital Advisory UK and Bridgewest Perth Pharma. Mr Van Der Wielen is the former inaugural Chair of the Government’s Future Health Research & Innovation Fund (FHRI).
Mr Van Der Wielen holds an MBA from the University of Western Australia, has studied at London Business School and Oxford University, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
