When my little brother made an attempt on his life at 21, I have never felt more powerless. Not only was I geographically removed but I didn’t have the tools to offer any kind of support. What our family went through showed me how critical youth mental health is to not just to individuals and their families but how it ripples through the wider community.
That’s why I’m riding in the Hawaiian Ride for Youth, cycling over 700 km from Albany to Perth to raise funds for Youth Focus.
The ride will be a huge challenge, but it’s nothing compared to the struggle many young people face in isolation.
If you’re able to donate towards my goal of $5,000 I would be incredibly grateful. Every contribution helps ensure more young people can access life-saving support.
Thank you for supporting my ride and changing powerless to powerful change.
