I am lucky to be taking on this incredible challenge.
The Ride for Youth is a 4 day, 700km bicycle charity ride from Albany to Perth alongside more than 140 riders, raising awareness and vital funds for Youth Focus. This incredible organisation delivers life changing mental health programs and services for young people when they need them most.
Right now, it is needed more than ever. The reality is confronting:
- Suicide is the number one killer of young Australians aged 12–25.
-12% of teens (13–17) have thought about suicide, and 4% have attempted it.
-75% of all mental health issues emerge before the age of 18.
- only 1 in 4 young people with mental health problems receive professional help.
Every rider must raise at least $5,000 to support this cause and every dollar counts. Please give what you can.
