The Ride means a lot to me. I work at Hawaiian, and it's fulfilling to support a charity they sponsor. What makes it even more meaningful is the personal connection – some of my school friends faced mental health issues, and a few tragically took their own lives during our school years. This drives me to be part of this event and support youth in any way I can.
Mental health is essential because it's closely tied to our general quality of life, physical well-being, and the overall functioning of society. It's a vital component of our overall welfare that warrants recognition, empathy, and assistance.
