This will be my first Hawaiian Ride for Youth and I am truly grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause.
I haven't been on my bike for quite a few years and I see this as an opportunity to challenge myself on a demanding journey and, more importantly, to inspire others to contribute to the cause and support for Youth Focus.
My motivation comes from a deep commitment to supporting family and friends who have experienced various mental health issues. Recognizing the profound impact mental health has on our community, particularly among those close to me, I feel a sense of duty to champion this cause.
Hawaiian Ride for Youth has a long and proud history of raising funds and awareness for mental health issues. affecting 12-25 year olds, a critical age group.
By participating in the Ride for Youth, I aim contribute to raising awareness and funds for an age group that is most at risk, ensuring today's youth are equipped for a resilient future.
The funds raised will enable Youth Focus to continue providing essential, free, and unrestricted mental health services. In a society where mental health issues persist, it is vital to emphasize that these issues are treatable. Youth Focus plays a pivotal role in providing care to vulnerable young people, and the funds from HRFY are instrumental in sustaining their critical services.
I am fortunate to ride with a fantastic team from Hesperia, united by the spirit of the ride and a shared commitment to raising much-needed funds. Together, we embrace the cause and challenge ourselves to make a positive impact on the lives of young people in need.
