I took up cycling to try and stay fit and more importantly to annoy and embarrass my children by wearing Lycra.
My proudest achievements are that I have 3 wonderful children, and I am punching well above my weight in the marriage department.
I was awarded the WA AFL Youth Coach of the year in 2015, and played the lead role of Superman in my High School Musical (thus my Lycra obsession).
It hurts to get up early to train, it hurts to train, and it hurts to sit on a bike seat for hours at a time. But, that sort of pain is nothing compared to the pain of losing a friend or loved one.
Suicide can be prevented, but it takes time and money.
